We have all safely arrived- and with all luggage fully intact. Thanks BJ for the blog yesterday and for all the prayers that were lifted on our behalf.
The travel from DC to Malawi was not without event. However, again I believe we arrived with our luggage because of your prayers. We made good time to Rome, but lost time in the refueling and then hit a head wind. We arrived late to Ethiopia, with our short connection. We only had 30 minutes after our plane landed, but again God was watching over us. We all made the connection and so did our luggage. Also there were the many instances of Tammy getting in trouble with her various electronic devices. We pulled together, with character witnesses and kept her from being thrown off the plane or taken to jail or having her entire ensemble of electronics confiscated! God is good!
Continue to pray for Kristina. She was sick on the flights, but has eaten supper and seems to be feeling better.
The welcome from the children was awesome. They are SOOOO excited to see the team and especially Andrew, Amy and Lucas, since most of the children know them.
Tomorrow is corporate worship. We are looking forward to that. Lucas and I, and long with John and Prince (the main Malawi guy at Rainbow - and also interpreter) have already gone to the villages to visit with the Chiefs to request permission to visit the villages and conduct the meetings. We received a great welcome and response from the chiefs. Pray for their salvation.
Tomorrow we are also trying to finalize the schedule for the week. Pray for wisdom. Also pray for us to quickly recover from the travel so that we can be most effective.
It is amazing already the opportunities to demonstrate and declare and awesome God!
